Industry Institute Relations (IIR)

The IIR unit was established in 2000 to cater the student's needs. Students gain lots of theoretical knowledge in the class room and practical in different laboratories to verify and understand the theory learnt in the class. However they still need exposure to various industries to gain insight to different works and develop confidence in them.
To strengthen and reinforce students' learning, site visits and industrial tours are organized. Private companies and corporate offices are invited for campus interviews and placement.
Guest lectures are being organized in key areas. Career counselling is done to the needy students who come forward.
IIR organizes visit to the graduates in workplace and their supervisor and collects feedback. This helps the college to improve curriculum and address the needs of the economy.
The main functions and Responsibilities of IIR are:
- Organise Industrial tour
- Organise On -The- Job Training
- Facilitate Guest/ Visiting Lectures
- Provide Career Counselling
- Facilitate Training and Placement
- Conduct Tracer Studies
- Interaction with the industries
- Co-ordinate ad-hoc seminars and workshops
