Admission Announcement for the In-Service candidates 2015

The College of Science and Technology is offering 20 seats each in BE Civil and Electrical Engineering Programme for 2015-2016 academic sessions to In-Service candidates with Diploma in Civil/Electrical Engineering respectively. Candidates will be able to finish the programme in 3 years. Tuition fee will be charged based on RUB directives. Accommodation will be provided as per College policy.

Interested candidates from government/corporate/private sector should send their application to the College along with letter of recommendation from the employer. Selection will be based on entrance examination.

In the 1st University Games held in Jigme Namgyel Polytechnic from December 13-17th, 2014, seven colleges under Royal University of Bhutan participated in three events, football, basketball and volleyball in the week long event. Three teams, football and basketball (men) and volleyball (women) from CST represented the south zone with Gaeddu College of Business Studies and Samtse College of Education.

The football and basketball team (men) from CST won the 1st University Games.

First BTNOG Training

Bhutan Telecom is currently organizing a BTNOG (Bhutan Network Operators Group) training in College of Science and Technology. Bhutan Network Operators Group (BTNOG) is an informal group set up to provide an educational and operational forum for Internet network operators and interested professionals/engineers related to the Internet's technologies and operational practices to discuss matters of mutual interest, exchange technical information and learning, and discuss specific implementation issues, usually through a combination of mailing list and annual meetings. The first NOG.BT meeting will be held from 17th to 21st November 2014.
